DESCRIPTION:Join your parent friends and their babies and learn about choking and first Aid! Jess will take you through tips on how to avoid and assist in a choking situation. Have some hands on trying with mannequins in class too! Afterwards take home a tip sheet to review and have on hand if it happens in your family. \n\n\n\n** \n\n\n\nHi everyone I’m Jessica! \n\n\n\nI worked for about 8 years as a paramedic in BC and prior to that I was part of an Auxiliary Fire Rescue team and in that time I noticed a lot of people didn’t know how to react in the case of an emergency\, they wanted to help but just weren’t sure how! I wanted to educate people and help them gain confidence in emergency situations so I become a first aid and cpr instructor. I am also a mom to a 3 year old boy and in my time as a mom I’ve learned that parents really need to be well educated and prepared for emergency situations at home- so I also teach focused workshops geared towards parents!  \n\n\n\nJoin me where I will do a demonstration on choking – I will be showing you how to tell if someone is choking and the necessary steps you need to take to help someone who is choking.
